Some things often asked by new clients
Do you offer sample edits?
Yes, I always do a sample edit for new clients. That way, you get the chance to see my work.
What is the process for copyediting?
I edit in two stages using MS Word’s Track Changes feature. After the initial edit, I will return the manuscript to you for review and revisions. This allows you to accept or reject my suggestions and respond to any queries I have left in the comments. Once you have made your revisions, you will send the manuscript back to me for a second edit, which follows the same structured process to ensure a polished final product.
How does proofreading work?
Proofreading works much the same way as copyediting, but has a narrower focus and only requires one pass.
What if I have questions while I'm revising?
You can leave a comment in the manuscript for me, text, email, or call me. I'm always happy to discuss my edit.
